As part of the ongoing activities of the Food Technology Department, and in order to raise awareness among the department’s students about the dangers of narcotic substances, the department organized a number of seminars for students in the (first, third, and fourth) stages.
These seminars were delivered by a group of respected lecturers from the department’s Health and Safety Committee, namely: (Asst. Prof. Dr. Khanzad Khidr, Lecturer Rahila Siamand, Lecturer Shno Salam, Assistant Lecturer Hawar Kawa), under the title: “Awareness of Narcotic Substances and Addiction among University and Institute Students.”
The seminars highlighted the dangers of narcotic substances and addiction from health, social, and psychological perspectives, as well as ways for students and young people to protect themselves. They also emphasized the importance of continuing education and striving to reach the highest academic levels.
