Head of the Department, entitled “Comparison Between Two Different Algorithms for Soil Classification,”

The Department of Soil and Water Management at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences hosted a scientific seminar presented by Dr. Hawar Razvanchy, Head of the Department, entitled “Comparison Between Two Different Algorithms for Soil Classification,” in Hall 1 on 30/4/2026 with the attendance of the department’s academic staff. The seminar focused on evaluating and comparing modern computational approaches for soil classification, highlighting their accuracy and applicability in improving soil assessment, land-use planning, and sustainable agricultural practices. This work contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through enhancing agricultural productivity, SDG 13 (Climate Action) by improving understanding of soil–climate interactions, and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by supporting sustainable soil management and conservation.
